iPhone Questions

16 minutes, most on hold, then Apple hung up. They have my #, but they won’t call back.
Calling back, this time armed with a Case #.

Case, from Express Lane, 212662924

Second person disconnected when putting me on hold.

Third call, two people. Finally got my questions answered: No, No, No.
1. There’s no way to reject a call using the screen, then the screen offers, “Swipe to Answer.” You have to pick up the phone and hit one of the buttons. Usually when I don’t want to answer, it’s because I’m doing something else. Picking up the phone is not handy. Why is there an Ignore screen option sometimes, but not others? It’s stupid.
2. Although iOS Contacts and Google Contacts both have nicknames, they can not be sync’d…because? More idiocy.
3. There’s no way to create an appointment using information in the contact data without creating a meeting invite for that person, which, in most cases, is rude. I should be able to approach this from two ways. First, when looking at a contact, there’s a button at the bottom that says Event, or Appointment, or something. An event opens up with their name and maybe a phone number in the Title. Maybe their address can optionally be put in the Location. Second, I’m in the calendar and adding an event. I do some 4-finger flip, or 9-finger snap, and, viola, I can search my contacts to populate Title and Location. Really, just a hold-down on the Title Location box, before the > action would be simplest. Doesn’t anyone at Apple make appointments with people in their contacts? Do they like typing on the error-prone keyboard? My Palm Treo could put contacts in my calendar. Why not the iPhone?
That done, would it be too much to have them, gasp, linked, so I could see all my appointments for one person or the full contact info for my appointment?
