A blog, not a single post
I start this blog well into the process of switching from a PC to a Mac. At first I thought I would just have a good blog entry. In this imagined entry, I would bitch that Apple is no better than Dell or Lenovo and OS X.5 is not better than XP. With the ongoing hell of switching to a Mac, I decided today to create a whole blog.
The purpose of my blog is at least two-fold: First, I want to present to the world the hell that is switching to a Mac in contrast to the marketing lies. Second, to document my process with Apple, through tech support, hardware issues, and marketing materials.
My motivation is to provide the perspective of a long-term PC user who switched from PC to Mac, based on the best into I had. My biggest mistake is that I thought Apple was a company different from other large companies. They say “Sorry” and “Reinstall the OS” just as often as other companies. Apple has been worse than Dell so far.
