Don and Leslie are from Colorado. He took early retirement to do the
trail. They got an early start and did low miles. They finished just a
day or two behind me. Their secret was very little time in town. They
claimed that since they were doing low miles, (13-18 a day) that they
didn't need zero-mile days in town.
I really liked hiking with them. They were easy to get along with and
had a relaxed pace. Unfortunately I spent more time hiking near them than
with them.
