My photography background and my new Nikon 885 with macro
capabilities has me seeing lots of stuff that's not necessarily related
to the trail, but interesting to look at. What I've noticed is that I'm
seeing and interested in civilization/nature boundary.
This subject matter soon faded. It's all from Southern California
where the nature/civilization interface is a little more developed.

Interstate 10 underpass. Very scary. Bad sexual graffiti,
including "I want to be your horor" [whore]. I stopped
reading the narrative that began, "Ten men..."
I found this man's graffiti disturbing because he
was so desperate and seemingly so alone that when he could connect
with another man sexually, he'd probably take the kind of risks
that lead to HIV infection. It's a shame that this has to happen.
