John's Journal Pages I kept handwritten notes and took notes with my Palm during my hike, then wrote the journal when I was at a computer when the hike was done. I got to the journal right away, while the memories were fresh. I did not wait. I had intended to write the journal on the trail, on my Palm, but it wasn't to be. First, I got bad blistering on my hands which made anything I did with my hands difficult, especially when they were cold. Holding the Palm stylus was not fun. Secondly, when it was dark and I was in my bag, I quickly found out that, although the screen area could be backlit, the Graffiti area was not backlit. This made it nearly impossible to do entry with any level of accuracy. Add to that the pain and difficulty with my hands, and if I manaed to get two word entered (literally), I was lucky. Moments during the day let me get a little more info in.
